Google is no stranger to breaking records, but not even Wall Street estimated the substantial growth that Google is continuing to have.
The search giant made $9.03 billion in Q2 2011, which is a 32% increase over this time last year.
The figure is nearly half-a-billion more than Google made in Q1 2011.
So where does Google make its money?
69% from Google-owned sites ($6.23 billion)
28% from Google AdSense ($2.48 billion)
54% of its profits are from countries outside the US
In terms of expenses, Google employs 28,768 people full time (up from 26,316 just three months ago), and have an ever-expanding operating cost schedule, growing from $4.46 billion to $6.15 billion in just one year.

Google+ Nearing 10 Million Users
Google+ is gaining momentum, and fast. Although not quite nipping at Facebook's 700 million usership base, Google+ has within weeks achieved a monumental milestone.
At the time of writing, the numbers stood at around 9.5 million worldwide, with around 2.2 million people joining every 48 hours.
The most interesting thing about Google+, is that although the circles element is inherently restrictive and can be seen as anti-social, it is these circles that actually allow a Google+ user to get more out of life, whether they're using the network on their computer or on mobile.
Only time will tell whether Facebook has finally met its match.

Facebook Releases Video Chat
After much hype, Facebook has integrated video into its Facebook Chat feature.
It was only a matter of time before this would happen, as Facebook has always had close ties with Skype, and since Microsoft now owns Skype, it sealed the deal when it came to Facebook.
Only time will tell just how many people will use the video chat feature, as many are awaiting Google+ and its unique Video Hangout feature.
