He might be down and out, but Socially, Kevin is still in his '07 prime.
The 'Respectful Relationships Campaign' is a Social Media strategy that the Rudd Government implemented just before Kevin Rudd's leadership was brought to a close - and is winning him points with digital supporters.
The four year campaign, which aims to protect the status of women, and reduce violence towards women among Australia's youth, has young, Social Media-savvy Australian recording artists Lisa Mitchell, Maya Jupiter, Pez and Tenielle Muslin on board.
In its first 10 days of operation, Respectful Relationships reached 2.5 million Australians using Social Media.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, one in three Australian women will report being a victim of physical violence, and one in five will report being a victim of sexual violence in their lifetime. Research by KPMG found that violence against women will cost the Australian economy $15.6 billion by 2021 if no action is taken sooner.
