An innovation by a US bank will ensure we no longer queue to cash a cheque.
Banking giant Chase has never been shy of Social Media developments. After all, it was one of the first banks with an iPhone app.
But US users who recently installed the update to the app got a little extra punch when they opened the app up - the ability to cash cheques in. The app works like this:
The user selects their account
The user enters their cheque amount
The user takes a photo of the front
The user takes a photo of the back
The user hits Next, and the cheque is officially cashed
In a move to rival payment king PayPal, Chase has also introduced QuickPay, an option to allow you to pay anyone with the Chase iPhone app or an email address.
