Poll Reveals 'Time-Poorness' is Reason Behind Lack of Social Uptake

In a poll released to LinkedIn, but with invites from Twitter and Facebook revealed that most people are aware of the importance of Blogging when it comes to a Social Media campaign - but have no time to action it.

Over 50% of those surveyed believed Blogging was important but lacked the time to take it on board. If you fall into this category - the time-poor excuse may be a good enough reason for yourself, but it certainly isn't for your customers.

The ease of communication and labour these days means getting a blog written by yourself, or your staff, or externally is both fast and cost-effective, if you look down the right path.

25% of those surveyed said they lacked the technical skills to commence blogging. This is quite alarming considering how easy it is to start a blog, whether it is an internal blog on your website, or on Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Tumblr.com or Posterous.com - just to name a few!

Al lack of communication skills was only reported by 8% of respondents, meaning really, it was a lack of blogging confidence that was keeping them at bay. These days you can read just about anything, from extremely amateur pieces to full-scale professional pieces - so the point of blogging is not so much the quantity or content, but the quality of content - that's what brings people in - entice and engage.

Only 16% of those polled stated they blog relatively frequently.
