YouTube: The Most Powerful Brand Marketing Weapon

With over 1 billion users, YouTube's audience is a colossal market. Ten's of thousands of businesses worldwide are generating incredible numbers to their websites with the simplest task - posting a video.

Does your business benefit from YouTube's popularity? Here's 10 tips to get the most out of YouTube.
1. Set up and Brand your Channel
Take the time to do this right, and make it resemble your own website. This not only builds brand familiarity, but allows users to subscribe to your content, and view content you've uploaded recently.
2. Use Subtitles on your Videos
For those that want to watch your videos at work, or for those with hearing impairments, subtitles opens your market to hundreds of millions more users.
3. Use Annotations Sparingly
Those annoying popups notes on top of videos should be kept to a minimum - they're distracting at the best of times.
4. Remove Spam Comments
There is a difference between Spam and Negative/Critical comments. Removing spam shows other users you're proactive. Removing Negative/Critical comments shows users you're afraid to be seen in a negative light. Instead, respond positively to negative/critical comments.
5. Talk to the Community
YouTube's overall purpose is a Social Media site - meaning there's other users other than yourself. Make sure you're interacting with other users and comment of their work... Mostly, they'll reciprocate and cross-market your video to their audience.
6. Use Playlists to Organise Content
If you've got plenty of footage, it's best to organise them into different playlists. This allows YouTubers to easily find your relevant content.
7. Use Tags when Uploading Videos
Do this one for yourself. Whenever a YouTuber searches YouTube, they get results based on tag words you've used on your videos.
8. Talk about your Videos
Tweet about them, post them to Facebook, feature them on your Blogs. Driving traffic to all of your content is never a bad thing.
9. Check out your Traffic
YouTube, being one of Google's toys, has a neat Analytics feature that resembles the one for your website.
10. Visit Often
If you post a video, you're going to get comments... Many of these could potentially help you and your business, so you want to keep an eye out... Post new, relevant videos whenever your can to keep the interest up in your channel.
