Is AOL Going The Way Of MySpace?

Despite the recent acquisitions of TechCrunch and Huffington Post, AOL's profits have fallen 86%.

Another giant of the web struggles to hold on, as advertising revenue fell 11% to $313.7 million.

The sharpest nosedive in usership came from Search, which fell 21% and international display ads falling a shocking 46%.

As a result of the lower AOL userships, they've also felt the pain of declining subscriptions - with most diverting away to their competitors: Google, Bing and Yahoo.
